Initially I was going to purchase a truck that didn't have the back up cam already installed. I was going to install the cam myself. But the dealer told me it had to be activated by the dealer un less you purchase something like the mygig lockpick which allows you to activate certain features without going through the dealer. The camera link is to allow you to view the install instructions.

Wow!!! I think after looking at those install instructions from Mopar I'd do the MyGig deal and put the rear camera in the license plate holder in case you ever take the tailgate off or lay it down it still works and it's just plug and play, but naturally you'll still have to run the wires up to the radio but thats no big deal. Plus while your in the radio area and ordering stuff, buy 2 cams and put the one up front also.

Forget the front, mount it in the bed and use it as a gooseneck/5th wheel cam.
