electric locks
electric locks
I have an 11 3500 st my previous trucks had keyless entry push the button the doors unlock . The st as im told does not come with that option. the truck has electric locks is it just a matter of buying a key fob and having it programmed ? And do I need to buy the fob from a dealer?

I called my dealer yesterday they said they cannot do it. If they know what they are talking about or not I don't know. But I did find a company close by that will do it for $169 but it takes 4 to 6 hrs to do.

You should be able to get a kit from Mopar that includes the key fob and a module that I believe plugs into the back of the instrument cluster. I do not believe it needs to be programmed, other than the keys or fobik if you have the sentry system or whatever it is called nowadays (I don't know if STs come with the fobik or regular key). The 3rd gens are that way, at least my 02 was. Also, I think I recall seeing a thread about this not too long ago.
