Easy entry seat programming
Easy entry seat programming
Little help please. I have a 2010 laramie with power seats. I had a problem with the driver seat not going back when the key was removed. I took it to the dealer under warranty and they fixed it. The mechanic said he reprogrammed it by moving the seat fully forward , then back.? Well the seat is not working again. Does anybody know the steps to reprogram. I did check the setup screen and the easy entry seat is enabled. Any help would be appreciated!!

Not familiar with the Laramie's, but I just looked in the manual and this is what it says:
Hope this helps some? Maybe the seat is already positioned within the "zone" the computer is programmed for and automatically disables it?
Try programming memory 1 or 2 with the seat positioned within about 12 inches of your chest to see if the easy exit/entry feature works then, it should move back about 2.5 inches and forward the same distance.
Another thing, I interpret the manual as saying that this particular feature is only available when memory 1 or 2 is programmed. If you haven't programmed either, then maybe that is another reason it isn't working?
Let us know if any of the above works.
Driver Easy Exit and Easy Entry Control
This additional feature provides automatic driver’s seat
positioning which will enhance driver mobility into and
out of the vehicle. The seat cushion will move rearward
approximately 2.5 in (60 mm) when the key is removed
from the ignition switch. The seat will move forward
approximately 2.5 in (60 mm) when the key is placed into
the ignition and turned out of the LOCK position. Each
stored memory setting will have an associated Easy Exit
and Easy Entry position. The Easy Exit and Easy Entry
feature may be automatically disabled if the seat is
positioned rearward enough and there is no benefit in
moving the seat any farther rearward.
