Hello All

I have a 2012 Longhorn that the compass on the evic is in CAL mode all the time. I have read the owners manual,read plenty of forums,did plenty of 5mph circles,BUT I must be missing something. I have the zone set to 7 where I live. Is there a update that I am missing?

I tried the Manual compass procedure and it would not come off Cal mode. I did see the compass change from N to S ,but never seen E or W ? I do have a H&S tuner mounted above my rear view mirror and wondering if that have anything to do with the compass always in CAL mode? Where does the compass get its signal from ? Is there any wires that may has come apart when they installed my H&S ?

 

My H&S is mounted above the mirror also and it really is a simple straight run up to it I can't see that being the problem. Have you always done the compass swing at the same location? There is a point on a certain road I travel that the compass goes nuts so there must be a magnetic source in that vicinity, I'm assuming it's a magnetic compass perhaps try the swing in a different location.

 

Thanks for the reply's,but I still can not get this Compass to not show "CAL" . Darn thing ! Might have to break down and get some help from the dealer?
