Bed lights

I picked up a pair of factory bed lights for my 2014 Longhorn. They didn't have the option for them that year so I wonder if any one has put them in where did they pick up power for the lights? Thanks

You could probably tap into auxiliary power in the 7 way trailer plug pretty easy. I use a 7 way plug to power my transfer pump on my auxiliary fuel tank. You would need the factory switch that mounts in the rear corner of the bed. I have them on my 18’ and they really light it up. The auxiliary power is not switched so it is hot all the time.

I have looked around for that factory switch but I can't find one. Do you have a part number for it? Thanks

no I don’t. It mounts in one of the pre-punched holes in the left rear corner of the bed. It’s a weather proof switch. I’ll try to get a pic of it for you.

check on Ramforumz and search bed lights installed. With them hooked up this way they will operate with the cargo light in the third brake light also.

May have to check with a dealer for the switch or find a weather proof switch at a marine dealer
