I just purchased a 2010 CTD 3500 4x4 crew cab Dually and was wondering what MPG people were getting with these trucks?

 

With the automatic & 4.10 gears, I'm getting 10 mpg towing my 13,000 lbs 5er. Average empty 14 mpg.

 

I'm getting about the same as Roarinbear.

 

3500 Mega w/4.10's. Only have 1,000 miles on it. Avg 14.7-15.2. Haven't towed yet but can't wait to.

 

I'm getting about 13 mpg empty (about 50/50 highway and in town) and about 9 mpg pulling a 15k 5th-wheel camper on a 2,500 mile round trip we took to Colorado. The truck only had 1,000 miles on it before we took the trip. It now has 4,500 miles on it. Mileage does not seem to be getting any better but I'm hoping it will in another 10k to 15k miles. Nine mpg towing a 15k camper is not too bad but I'm a little disappointed in the 13 mpg empty mileage.

 

I average about 10.25-10.5 towing my 16,000 lb G/N.
I only have 4500 miles on it and only use it for towing.
Very little driving w/o a trailer, but get about 15 combined city/hiway driving.
