Question 08 TPMS Sensors in a 2011 ???

Hi everyone I need some help if possible?? I just picked up my NEW 2011 2500 " and yes I will post pics as soon as I finish charging my wife`s camera" and I had the dealer swap tires and wheels from my 08 to the 2011 and now the EVIC "DINGS" and shows NO tire pressure in any of the tires. So for my question ... Are the sensors compatible between the 08 and 2011 ?? Or do I have to get new sensors ?? All I do know is that they worked perfect in my 08 and never had a problem!!

Thanks for all the help in advance !!!!!

Steve

I found the answer out today FYI if you are switching stock wheels from 08 to 2011 they changed the sensors completely you have get new ones , you can not use older sensors won`t work!!!

Did you keep the sensors that were in the other wheels or did they go with the 08? Thats a bummer!

dealers should have known this when they did the swap or at least looked it up for ya. could have swapped sensors really quick and saved ya a grip of money

Ah well according to the parts guy " which he is AWESOME " by the way the new sensors look like the old rubber ones before TPMS BS came about and from the way it was described to me they are COMPLETELY different and they work on a different freq than the old ones. They are not sure if they can take them out without damaging them . I think that this is a " JOB SECURITY " for Dodge engineer by mod the sensor so that they would have to change and make $$$$$$ and not be able to use the old ones in the new truck . But hey it is not the end of the world I will just save up some $$$$ and buy new Toyos in a couple of weeks . Lesson LEARNED !!!! LOL

Star all I did was swap over stock wheels and tires for stock wheels and tires . So basically I have my old wheels and tires and he has my new tires and wheels . So this weekend I will prob switch back tires and wheels and just get new Toyos and sell the Michelins that came with the truck...
