April? Why do you ask? You waiting on something?
I should be back to the states in a month. Stand by for photos of all the rediculous goodies I got waitin for me. I will be so happy to be back with the family.
Blake, where did you get your RDS tank from? My dad has the same on in his truck and the cheapest I could find was Northern sTool. They also sell the install kit. I was planning on removing the bed anyway for tank mods, air bag/shock installation, etc..

Yup. My next trip back home, and the final nuke down stages of my build. Airdog, studs, nozzles, and Billet S466 2nd gen swap to take place. Unless catastrophe strikes. That is my plan though, and Im right on budget.
Cant wait, for the pics and you back stateside. I know the feeling, albeit not as long as yall do though.
Got mine from Northern. Cheapest place I found.

Any updates buddy. I'm just about to buy a suncoast race trans for my truck. Might build twins for it this year at some point. I've had a set of 100HP nozzles laying around for awhile (just had a low miler stock set honed and edm 50%). Have this spare duramax LLY CP laying around to.

Nope. Still working my rear end off. Heading home in May now. Sometime around the 18th.
Just ordering up small stuff and shipping it home. AirDogII, fittings to plumb it in to my 2 micron filter, Gorilla Juice. Things like that.
Did talk with the guy gonna do the studs. We had a good convo about the turbo swap, and he told me that since hes gonna have the manny off anyway, to send all the new stuff with the truck, and he bolt it on for me while hes at it.
So.... as much as I wanted to do it myself, Im gonna send it his way. That way when I get home, Im just gonna latch on to the 5ver and take the wife and kiddos to the beach. Guess we will see how I like towing with the 466 right off the bat....

Well short update.
Got an unexpected week home. AirDog is now on the truck. Solid 15psi of fuel even with it ran through the Glacier Diesel 2micron kit. Tripled filtered diesel... yeah!
Did have a small hiccup. Did have a miss for a bit for about a minute or so when I took off down the road. No lights or anything, just ran a bit rough. Guess there was a bit of air in the system and it had to be purged out. Running fine now.
CCV delete is in place too.
And the G56 is nice and happy with 7qts of Gorilla Juice in it.
Leaving back for PA Monday. Ordering up the Fleece kit probably April 1st or so. Then the last week of April it goes in for studs and injectors.
If all goes well, the next time I drive it it will be a COMPLETELY different animal.

Blake, hate to ask this but you running head studs? I would run head studs or at least re-torque the head bolts.
I having a 6.7L built up for a spare engine for my truck right now. Been throwing around running fire rings in it just to try or at least run 625 head studs. Just going stock route this time around, a set of rods, an aftermarket camshaft. Still thinking about running a ZZ side draft intake.

Most definitely Mike. ARP 625's will be going in before the turbo even gets outta the box.
That ZZ stuff is nice. Pricey, but nice.

Ya, so true buddy, but such a wicked nice piece. I had a spare ZZ manifold for awhile didn't even get a chance to install it.
You going to fire ring or leave as stock? Been thinking about doing some R&D on fire ring development, true fire rings. Hailsley runs a 0.105 ring wire in the head. We typically run a oring of 43thou and 9 thou protrusion onto the leading edge of the head gasket.

Hey Mike
Just doin the 625's. No fire ringing. Not yet anyway. Ill leave that for the 2nd build (or 1st rebuild) with the Carillos and ceramics.
