I have had my new 2012 3500 4X4 almost 3 weeks now and I have yet to see it without snow on it, or drive it on dry pavement. Heading to Arizona in February so I might have to wait until then for that to happen.
Maybe I can get some suggestions on a cap. Trying to decide between a SnugTop, or a Leer. I understand they are both good tops. Anybody with any experience with ether?
Extended warranty, is it worth it? I expect to be traveling in the Southern States next winter and if I have a problem I don't want any hassles when I am away from home. It doesn't look like people are having too many problems with the 2012. Not sure if I will do any mods to it, but that is a decision I will make after I get back from AZ. I think I will have all the power I need, I am after mpg.
Is there anything else I should be looking at right away?
Thanks for the input.

and hope you have that full winter front closed up tight. Watch your oil level it will make "oil", well it will add fuel to it and become blacker than you have ever seen before and if the oil change message comes on at 2500km, you had better believe it or at least change the oil and send out a sample for testing. If you plan on staying stock buy a cheap code reader from Princess Auto $34 on sale often, this way you can read the codes yourself and reset them without having to go to the dealer if they are the usual emission related ones.
