So just bought a 2013 with 85k miles and it’s all stock ... my question is what oil is best for the motors .. best tune for it while still being functioning emissions ( will delete when problems come about) and any advice for a new Cummins owner New ride
I have a 2020 Ram Tradesman, pull a 5th wheel toy hauler. Shell Rotella synthetic 10w30 for diesels. Don't forget fuel filters every 10,000 miles. Always liked Shell Rotella products, go to Walmart to buy oil. My motor takes 3 gallons check your manual. Good Luck!
I like Valvoline Premium Blue for both my Cummins. It is more expensive but has treated my engines well. I used to have oil analysis completed every once in a while and it holds up well.
I too am a Shell Rotella fan. 5W40 all year long. I change it every 10000km along with all the filters ( Air, Oil Fuel). Never had an issue with the engine in 336000km. Trans flush and diffs every 80000km as well
