Need answers on Exhaust filter
I recently purchased a wrecked 2011 ram 2500 with the 6.7 cummins. It came with the H&S egr delete and a straight pipe exhaust. I got the truck finished and have been driving it for about a week. While driving I notice the information on the dash started to say exhaust filter 80% full then 90 and now is showing 100% full. The problem is there is no exhaust filter on it and I am guessing at one point the truck had to have had a tuner but since it is not on now the previous owner must have took the info out of the truck so it thinks the filter is full since all the sensors are unhooked. I am not sure if this is the problem but trying to figure it out is driving me crazy. My question is do I need to get a smarty tuner for it, and does it have to be one with the dpf? Needing answers please. Also if I need one where is the best place to go and know I am getting the right one?
Let me add you need a delete capable SmartySr or Jr, or a delete capable H&S tuner. These are not made anymore so you'll have to check around for old stock or used ones for sale. A lot of dealers are selling the street/epa compliant tuners as delete capable so be careful when purchasing.
EFI live is also an option.
