Smarty Jr voids the warranty. Don't know about the deletes.

Pros: better fuel economy, cleaner oil, no EGR plugging up your engine, a better running truck and no DPFs to replace down the road

Cons: No warranty, potential issues with emissions testing (if its in your area), Potential for broken parts if you get stupid with the power

What most guys don't realize is that with a deleted truck, you are on your own hook for repairs. Some dealers are good with warrantying a deleted truck but Dodge is getting stricter with what they will warranty.

Most dealers are ok with you doing the deletes on warranty, unless you done something stupid to ruin the truck. Chances are you'll have a better truck with the deletes than not. I took my 2010 into the local dealer, with the H&S still running.

Just remember to tell them not to flash the truck. Probably best thing for warranty work, just put the truck back to completely stock mode. Their is not way that they could decline your warranty, worst case, worst case just go and find another dealer.

Hmmm..... Mike, you think I could get them to toss me a bone and warranty something??????

OP, if you delete, be fully prepared to lose your POWERTRAIN warranty. Most places wont give you flak about other stuff, like A/C system, seat motors, etc....

Some dealers WILL work with you on the powertrain stuff though, depends on the dealer. I would grab the service manager and sit down and have a good honest convo with him, and see where he stands.

Yeah, I think most service depts. know the truck is actually much better off with the deletes- and they'll be seeing less of you, not more.
