Hunt or surge with Cruise Resume full delete

Dad in laws 2010 2500 is full deleted, Smarty Jr, runs fine, but when towing, or even empty with enough load when you are going say 75mph, tap brake, let slow to 50, or under, roll through a town, hit resume, before the truck hits the target speed the truck bucks, hunts, surges, what ever you want to call it, Ive reserched it and basically found its the nature of the beast with a tunner on it. Only has 30K on the truck, never smokes, runs great, and were on the econo tune, never hot rodded, other than the occational rush to pass situation.

Anyone have an answer for this or am I just gonna have to manually run up to target speed and set cruise??

Thanks

Kasey

My 2011 with mini max full delete doesn't do it, I always have some sort of trailer so I'm using tow/haul with H&S transmission tune.

Let me put it this way, both my 2011 and my sons 2011, both with full deletes both with tuners on them doesn't/didn't surge so I don't see how it can be "the nature of the beast" unless ours are the only two that weren't that way.

Do you think my Smarty tune is the issue? Should I look for an updated tune?

You could return to stock programming and go for a short test drive to rule out the programmer. If it is your programmer then try a different tune. Remember I said we are using the mini max with tow haul selected and H&S transmission tune.

I initially had that problem, and a few others with the ME tune that was preloaded on the Smarty I received. The truck has tons of power but wasn't as smooth as I had hoped.

I just got what I assume is the latest update, and installed it this morning. Truck runs **** near perfect now.
