First tank of fuel after deletes

Filled up for the first time today since doing deletes, 510 miles on 30 gallons, comes to 17 mpg hand calculated , digital dash said 19.6. That was 2 weeks of driving 17 miles one way to work, mostly back roads, and Some city driving on the weekends, trying to stay out of the pedal, which is hard to do the way that thing runs now!! Never hand calculated before deletes, but dash said 12.9, so I am happy. Anyone know if the digital Mpg is usually different than hand calculating?? Why?? Still new to all this technology!! Thanks

Your tire are going to have a lot to do with the difference.

I have been working on what the right tire setting on my Mini Maxx is to have my truck's trip meter and GPS trip meter to read the same. The closer the trip meters get the close my dash MPG is to my hand calc MPG.

Made the final adjustment on my H&S last night night, the Speed is dead on my GPS and the Speedo now. Took a few trys at dif size tires to get it right.

Oh ok, I'll have to check mine with my gps, I just assumed when I put 34" tire into the mini maxx it was right. So maybe I am getting more than 17 mpg if I traveled more miles. Will check that out today.

I have 35" tires that don't really measure that tall. I think I have mine set at 33.8" and it is spot on. FYI don't use the GPS in your truck it is not a true reading it will match the speedo you need to have a hand held or after market GPS.
