DELETES in Progress....WOW.

I have to agree with all the delete guru folks that said...."Why is all this stuff on these trucks?"

We just put on the downpipe and delete pipe along with a SMARTY Jr. Programmed it to #3.... Programmed the tires to read 34.5" and speed is right on the money with handheld GPS. I dont belive it just yet, but the computer has the truck getting 18mpg around the city....it was on 11.5 when I hit the reset. If this is even close.....WOW.

We still have the EGR/EGR Cooler delete to do so I'm not sure where it goes from here, hopefully only better.

Want to put a big shout out to Chris (CBRHAS), I have been in his ear via cell, email and text for about 3 weeks now and he has helped me more than I can say. THANKS CHRIS! Also many thanks to Blake, New2Diesel, and Zero Tolerance.

Thanks and will keep you posted when we get the EGR done.

Is your smile so big that it goes from ear to ear like mine?

Glad you got everything done and are enjoying your "new" ride.

Black Smoke?

When I do the EGR/EGR COOLER, will this cause any more black smoke? I'm hoping not.

Egr

What will the EGR/COOLER delete do for me? I need to consider this as I want very little black smoke.

I have only tried SW#3 and I only get (on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most) a rating of 3 of black smoke when I stomp it

excessive smoke = unburnt fuel, unburnt fuel = loss of power

I have noticed that you can clearly smell this truck now. Obviously not going down the road, but hitting the remote start, if i walk outside it smells like diesel....big time. Even when backing up my driveway, I can smell it in the truck. Is this normal?
