Crankcase vent delete mod gone wrong?...

Ok, a few weeks back I deleted the ccv, and put a 45 degree tube from the valve cover with a breather filter on top of it, plugged where it used to go into the turbo. I saw the writeup on here, can't seem to find it right now. I did everything exactly how it said. I drove the truck for a bit, the breather looked fine, after doing a lot of pulling this week the filter is covered in oil, and it looked like it dripped some too. I didn't hear anyone with this problem when they commented on the writeup. What went wrong? Any thoughts, ideas to try? Thank you!

What I did was run a 5 to 6 foot heater hose down the frame rail. I can still smell the oil vapors from time to time, but what the turbo looked like with only 4500 miles made me put up with it

I was hoping to not blow that much oil out of it though. I've heard of guys with the breather and no problems, I don't want to be loosing oil. Just trying to figure out why that would happen, and will I continue to loose that much? If so that means I gotta check my oil level every week almost.

Mine does that. Takes a couple of months before it collects enough oil to actually drip.

Clean it. Forget about it. Repeat.

I'm just using the stock tubing. I've plugged the line going into the turbo. The oil that comes out of the breather line, just drips onto the turbo. Makes a nice smell when it does. Lets you know when you have some blow-by.

My old truck just blows the oil onto the hood of my truck, I broke the breather cap a long long time ago Just think of it as a cheap rust inhibitor
The old truck's the frame/truck bed is still reality rust free, most due to a long term 3 year transmission oil leak. The doors/cab on the truck aren't so lucky

After I cleaned the oil off the breather, the last few days evic has said...perform service. Is that related somehow. There's no code to check

Get a code reader, or go to Autozone and borrow theirs. Once you look up the code on this sight you'll have a better idea if it's related.

Well I have an h&s, but it doesn't throw the cel. It pulls up the I box on the evic and says perform service, then goes away.
