Another EGR deleted...
Just completed the installing the EGR Delete Kit. I took my time and had no problem removing those troublesome bolts everyone talks about. No swivel or crowfoot needed. If I had to do it again, I could probably have it done in an hour.
Anyway, I know most have claimed no performance improvement after this mod. But I swear I gained a much snappier throttle. I haven't driven it other than up and down the street to look for codes or strange hiccups. By the way, there were none.... But the truck seems very responsive. And the exhaust brake seems to be functioning perfectly as well.
If there is anything more to report good or bad, I'll find out on my way to work in the morning.
FYI, I'm running N software and sw7 on smarty sr. ME.

You are lucky you didn't run into problems. The back outer nut for the cooler was cross threaded by the manufacturer on my truck. It was a beast to remove. Congrats on the delete! You will enjoy cooler EGTs and your truck not eating it's own byproduct.

I got into it good this morning on the way to work. Easily buried the needle at over 120mph and still had more throttle to go..no hiccups, stutters, stumbles or codes. Just smooth power. And the truck itself, as well as the exhaust brake sound great!
I was initially dreading this mod, but glad i did.
i ended up borrowing steps off of the carbonitecummins.com instructions. Their removal process made it possible for a really trouble-free procedure.
