Yes, once the 6.7 can breath, she is a completely different animal. Just wait for the fuel economy gains and the clean engine oil after an oil change.

I know what you mean. After having my 07 almost four years I now like my truck. I just got back from a 500 mile trip yesterday (no trailer) and when I do fuel up I am expecting to see twenty MPG, best ever before was about 14.5. And as klx6502 said, cleaner oil.

Joe has a 2011 Mega Cab Dually and after doing the 07, he's really wanting to do the 11', but with only 4,300 miles on it he's affraid too just yet... He's getting a whopping 12MPG and thats driving it easy! :/

Congratulations COUNTRYBOY! I just did deletes at 15,000 miles after a turbo and DPF replacement. Had the turbo fail and then the DPF plugged up 900 miles from home. Wish I had of done the deletes much earlier. It's a much happier truck now.

That is what I did early on and precisely what I wanted to avoid! Ahmen.

EGR DPF Deletes

Anyone located near Coeburn, VA 24230 in Southwest VA that can assist on EGR, DPF delertes on 08 3500/6.7? I'm afraid I'm going to screw something up and would prefer to take somewhere close by to do the mods who know what they are doing. Thanks, Thomas

What I considered was going to Ebay and purchasing the baffle plates to escentually block off the EGR system. Then disconnect the motor and install some blocking plugs for the loose ends. I think this may result in the same end as removing the pipes and motor from the engine. But then does an engine check light appear? If so, What to do about it? Thanks, Thomas

Two Choices:

a) Live with the CEL
b) Buy a programmer

one issue with that is the egr coolers are known for leaking so keep en eye on it if you do that type (cali) delete
