2011 H&S Major Smoke

OK Fellas, after extensive testing, this is what works best for me!! Read my SIG for mods so you can understand.

I has been battleing with the non-smoke that comes from my fully deleted truck. If you want major smoke with some reliability then this is what works for me. Modify your de-fuel on the H&S tune. I run the aggressive HOT DAM turbo tuning and start de-fuel at 1300deg. Truck runs flawless and creates a cloud of doom that is insane. As soon as the H&S starts to defuel you will see it read back to "No-Power" but don't worry cause its still gonna smoke like a chimney.

All my testing was done on a race track.

My peak boost is around 38. If you ever see 40 then you better have some studs.

WHY ?

Why would you ever want rolling clouds of smoke?
Why would you ever think this is a good thing?
Did it not occur to you that this may be the reason the Government steps in and regulates, retricts and generally deflates any hot rodding?

I love the way my 7,000 # truck will embarrass most every car in the stop light grand prix, and that it does do SMOKE FREE.

The smoke is a result of a super small turbo. Remember the guy is at a race track guys. I didn't think the smoke level was that bad, but that me. Ran 43psi a few times with no head gasket issues and stock head bolts. I'm going to install a head with oring and run the ARP's 2000. Still collecting bits for twins build.

Can we please not go into the smoke vs. non-smoke debate! If New2Diesel wants to roll coal all over the world and is kind enough to post how he does it then let him!!!! I am tired of others trying to judge one person for what they want to do with their own truck.....As long as he is not breaking any laws let him do whatever he wants.....BACK OFF SMOKE *****

I don't know about you guys, these new truck don't really smoke. I have been trying hard to find fuel. Really the stock VGT is awful, and sure takes the fun out a stock truck, but I have a plan.

So been curious, what you run at the track New2Diesel?

Ok fellas. 1st let me say that rolling smoke is not my #1 goal. The testing I performed was for fellow DTR's that probably want smoke. The reason why, well thats simple.

I use it to get people off my tailgate. Specifically motorcycles. There, I said it. If you do not want a bunch of unburnt fuel on your windshield then get off of my bumper.

Suncoast for converter!! As far as a track time Mike, I don't have any "Valid" slips yet. The weather here is the worst on Friday and Saturday. I think I might be able to get out tommorow though. Thunderstorms in NC are a huge pain. Plus having 2 kids does not help.

More Info: I have put this truck to the ultimate test and still no problems. The only reason I even have some of the stuff on it is because of the recommendations for fellow DTR guys. Plus there is a great Cummins mechanic less than a mile from my house. I guess I am expecting to run around a 13.5-14.0. This will be my 1st drag run in a 4Wd Diesel so I still really do not know what to do.

Just so you know, the staging lanes at Coastal Dragway are packed with motorcycles.
