What is the future of emissions on the Cummins?
How much longer will Dodge run a regen set up on the Cummins motor? Are they considering going the route of Urea like Ford and GM? I am not sure if I am going to do deletes as I trade out my truck roughly every 2 years, and if Dodge has a better emissions set-up coming in the future, I will just leave mine alone and wait for the new models.

I could be wrong, but I believe the Dodge had enough credits to make engines for several year past 2010 that were slightly dirtier due to being cleaner in the 2007.5-2010 period.
With the Urea, you still need the DPF and regen's to collect and get rid of particulate. The Urea is for Nox. Basically they run the engine dirty and use after treatment to clean up the particulate and NOx down stream.
Should be interesting to see what delete comes about with Urea.

Dodge is meeting the 2010 emissions without DEF, but the mileage issue is most likely why they are going to DEF.
They are not dirtier than the rest, just meeting it differently.

The C&C trucks in 07.5-09 only met 2007 emissions. When Dodge/Cummins went to meet 2010 emissions they thought that the DEF setup would work better in the C&C world based on how the trucks are used.

H&S has Urea delete kits for the Ferds and Chebys already.
