Trailer towing question
In my truck, the driveshaft was one of the things the wheelchair conversion company changed. When I first got the truck the angle of the front half measured an acceptable 5 degrees, but the back half was 29 degrees! With the changes the 4x4 company made with the 1/2" plate under the carrier bearring, we ended up with 8 degrees in front (I'm told this is the max it can be) and 20 degrees on the rear half (still too high). UPS dropped the BDS 2" block kit and another 1/2" plate off here last week and Ryno is flying a tech up from FL to install it for me at the end of the month.
With my camper on the truck the shutter at take off goes away that confirms my thoughts and Stargeezers shim kit. the truck sits 2" lower in the rear with the camper on the truck and air bags at 70 psi. the truck accelerates smooth...BUT when I pull upo onto the leveling blocks mainly in reverse the front of the truck starts the bouncing, it will bounce 3-4" I have called the dealer they can't duplicate.. I called the Ram customer care # and the lady told me to take the truck back to the dealer and " get in firm with the manager" . My 2005 Duramax did not do this so why shoud I have to deal with a "better" truck bouncing. I am quickly learning why everyone Deletes their trucks right off lot,, Its because the warranty is not worth the paper its written on.
