I decided to make the leap from my old 05 to a new 2013 3500 Longhorn Laramie with the Aisin 6spd. Pretty exited yet a little worried with all this new emissions stuff. Anything I should keep an eye out for? TIA

My 05 has a little over 200,000 and has been flawless. This one is for tax purposes.

Might as well ride in a new rig in that case. Giving uncle sam extra money is not what I like to do either.

Spend it or loss it.. My only concern is longevity with these news ones. If I get 200,000 miles I'll be happy.

Picts yet???

The new 3500 sure did well on the latest Pickuptrucks.com Eisnerhower Tunnel test. Beat the F450 up the hill.

385 hp/850 torque with automatic Aisin AS69RC six-speed Laramie

Interior wise, this truck is leaps and bounds over my 05 Laramie. Not even comparable. So far I'm really enjoying this one. The paint job is kinda weird though.. It changes from every angle. Black, Gold, Brown, Rootbeer, Olive Kinda cool

Yup, but they don't fall flat at 50mph like the 3rd gens do, and when you tow heavy....oh boy- she'll pull any grade at any speed you feel is safe.

I haven't pulled anything heavy yet. Had the horse trailer loaded with 2 horses and gear over the weekend and did just fine but that's not exactly a test. I love the exhaust brake though. My 05 with billet Goerends tranny and Edge on hot would tow over just about anything and never leave overdrive. Time will tell. I still have the 05 though

good thing you kept your 05. You'll need it if you want to get more than 16 MPG on the highway......
