Driving to work this morning, this thing is like a new truck. Even driving a down the highway, it feels smoother.

Very cool, mine goes to the dealer next Monday as it's a warranty issue. Sure hope they are as successful!

My bet is that they don't fix it. They may even say no problem found. Here is one kit you can get for it. Carrier Bearing Shim Kit for 11-16 Dodge 4wd Ram 2500 / 3500 Pickup [1161] | Rough Country Suspension Systems® or you can make your own for $15

Perfectly smooth ride all the way in to day again. It was nice.

Thanks man, I sure hope they don't! The tech I have scheduled to do the work has seen this issue many times. My 3500 was so nice and the other we drove as a comparison was well into acceptable; my truck drives me nuts! It even has a bumpy ride at 62-65 mph, even though the tires were re-balanced and alignment dialed. Drives excellent but the shutter and 65mph bumpy's still there. I'm thinking there is something wrong with my drive line, shims like you did are my immediate next step if it comes back the same! In any event, I'll know in a couple weeks.

The type of diff's in these don't use or require any additive.

I just got my truck back from a week at the dealer for nothing. The diagnoses is launch shutter heightened with a vibration between 62 and 73 mph, much like a tire issue but suspected tied to the drive-line. Surprise-surprise, factory stand is it is operating as designed. So I guess my 2015 1 ton which had no such issues was a fluke and my 2017 3/4 ton is operating as it should. Sad day for RAM, shame on you. The drive-line angles are as follows: Both the pinion angle and the transfer output angles are 5.8*, parallel and exact which is good. The transfer case to the carrier bearing is 2.8* and the carrier bearing to the pinion is 7.6*. What this means is a spacer is needed to be made and installed to drop the carrier bearing and change these two angles increasing the 2.8* and decreasing the 7.6* to more equal to reduce the strain on the secondary u-joint. Straight would be perfect but that would reject the 2* min for proper u-joint operation or get a special u-joint thus designed for straight line operation, Spicer mfg???

I'd bet a 1/4" shim will be just what you need

I'm hoping, that's next since I'm on my own at 1400 miles!
