Need Frame Measurements For my Build

Hey guys, I've got a 1978 Dodge w200 Crew Cab.. I been doing some research because Instead of going out and buying a brand new truck, I wanna build myself a brand new truck. 2010-2013 Dodge ram 2500/3500 Crew Cab short 6'4"bed has same wheel base as my 1978-should be 148.9" according to ram specs. Reason Why i'm wanting measurements are for 3 reasons. Ease of new driveline parts for future repairs down the road, and wanting to run either a original 5.9 12v P-pump Twin turbo and G56 and new electronic transfer case or p-pump the new 6.7. I do realize I will have to address fitment issues, but these measurements should help give me a good idea. More then Likely I will use 2" body lift to address fitment issues, one guy already put a g56 in his 1st gen and didn't need even 2" of clearance of the tunnel to fit in. Also I can buy new Frame through mopar with all correct mounting braces for the new ram driveline componets for under 1700 shipped to my door.

This is what I wanna Start off with for frame comparisons
Front Frame width(outsides of the frame)--
Rear Frame Width(Outsides of the frame)--
Cab mount from Front to Rear distances apart(center of cab bolts)--
Also steering gearbox on inside of the frame or outside?
Any other measurements that may come in handy that you can think of will be appreciated also.

Thanks in advance to Whoever takes their time out of the day to do these measurements for me, much appreciated-everybody around here has new crew cab halftons with have shorter box and frame vs HD trucks. and all the HD trucks around here are 3rd gens

Theres my thread link to those that be interested in watchin the build to see how it comes out, Gonna build the driveline first then have all body parts fitted then taken off and restore

Just a few things to add.. I don't think the 1/2 ton frame is strong enough to carry the diesel engine it is a much smaller frame, rail depth wise and I know that the rear hitch from a 2011 3500 will not fit a 2011 1500. The 2013 3500 is a completely different frame altogether and I don't think anyone has one yet. So I would say you want a 2010-2012 2500/3500 frame.

I think I see where you are going with this, you'll have a new "old truck" that doesn't have any pollution requirements.

Yes, I was gonna measure my bros new 2012 but quickly realize half-tons were shorter WB,Bed Box and used coil-over suspension. However Didn't Know they Changed the 2013 1 ton frames.

2010-2012 2500 and 3500 frame measurements are what I need to compare with.

You are correct, I want 2010-2012 Frame and driveline componets for strength, ride quality and ease of availability for part repairs down the road and readily available. Other reason is I've always loved the first gen trucks and crew cabs are pretty rare to come buy, So I want best of both worlds.. Funny you mention the pollution requirements-didn't even cross my mind
