I called my dealer and asked about my key. The auto door lock stopped working and then two days I put the key in and a message came up not working. I took the second one and it workes.
I asked the dealer and he told me it needs a new battery and then the truck needs reflashed. I do not want any flash I have a Smarty Me and the truck has been deleted.
Do I need the truck reflashed for a key battery?

 

I have replaced the battery in both of my FOBs a few times and never had to reflash. I also have the smarty jr with deletes.

I would guess there is 2 separate issues. 1) You need to replace the battery in the FOB. 2) The reflash is needed on a non-tuned truck to fix some issue....don't let the dealer reflash.

 

Thank you I did not understand why every time the dealer works on my truck they need to reflash it. I just wanted the battery changed!

 

BTW, I just go to RiteAid and buy the batteries.
