Question Help with prices for 2011.5 and 2012

Hello,

tomorrow I am heading to the dealership to look at/ test drive some trucks. I wanted to bring along the list of accessories and prices that can be added by the manufacturer.

does anyone know where I can find this list? Just so I have some solid facts if the dealership tries to increase the prices.

Any information you have will be greatly appreciated. I apologize for being last minute.
Thanks

All of the options are listed on the Ram web site. You can go there and build the exact truck you want and it will tell you the prices. Keep in mind that its not really the individual prices that you pay for the options that you want to deal on it is the total for the truck. They are also listed on sticker that is posted on the truck.

I'm not sure about what incentives Dodge offers right now, but when I bought my 11.5 HO a couple of months ago my final price was 10k off of sticker. Sticker on my truck was 51K and I was OTD for 41K. Mine was a 4WD Dually SLT and didn't have a lot of options.

There is more profit margin in heavily loaded trucks so you may even get a better discount off of sticker if you are looking for lots of options.

i appreciate the responses. I have built a truck on there website and printed out what I want.

I do have a fair amount of accessories I would like, but it is reassuring to know that there is a fair amount of leeway in the sticker price.

I went to the dealer, but realized they were closed due to the holiday so I will be going tomorrow after work. Keep everyone posted as to what I find.

thanks again

Good luck this afternoon! Even on 2012s you should expect 10-12k off sticker. I got over 11k off on my 2012 just days after the 2012s hit the lot.

I went to 2 dealerships and both didn't have what I was really looking for. Not all of the accessories I wanted were on the trucks. I have looked more into customizing a truck and then having it shipped to me.

Has anyone done this? Aside from the Manufacturer incentives has anyone been able to talk down the dealer on a customized truck? My next appointment is thursday.

thanks

When you say customized I am not sure if you mean factory parts or aftermarket. You can go to a dealer and order a new truck equipped exactly how you want it based on available options. You should still be able to save substantially of the MSRP even if ordering.

I apologize for any confusion, yes that is what I am looking into doing. Ordering a new truck with what I want. Wasn't sure if I would still have as much push on the price versus a truck already built and looking to be sold. I guess it can go both ways.

If you're like me you'll never find what you're looking for on the lots. Ordering one gets you what you want so---->

Do you have a credit union or Costco Wholesale available to you. Often they offer a buying service where they send you to certain dealership's fleet managers and offer decent discounts even letting you order the truck you want. My former employer had an agreement with Dodge which gave me a great discount similar to the Dodge employees discount when I ordered my 2004 truck. My suggestion is to check around.

And if your don't mind a lot of driving around ---->

Take your desired option list you made on the Ram website and go to several dealers and have them give a quote on ordering the truck you want. You will have to go back and forth between dealerships asking them to beat others quote but eventually you get a great deal, it just takes a good bit of legwork on your part. Always tell them that you are ready to order and are willing to make a decent deposit to order the truck you want. By all means insist that you are comparison shopping and want the best price possible. Most dealers really want your business and be sure to go straight to the sales manager and not those sales "vultures" hanging around at the front of the dealerships.

I appreciate all the responses. tonight I actually went to another dealer. wrote out the list of options I wanted and they had EVERY one of them . needless to say i put the deposit on it and it should be here within 48 hours. I will post pictures when it comes. It is a SLT with Nav, backup camera, plow package, and some other little things I wanted!!

I was also able to reduce the price by nearly 9 grand!

The best deal you will ever get is the one in which you get the truck you want at a price you can afford and makes you happy. Sounds to me like you made that deal......Congrats!
