Engine whine

I have noticed what i can only describe as a"whine" coming from under the hood. The whine can only be heard while accelerating, when I let on on accelerator it stops.

I have been in to dealer 3 times so far, first they said that the air box melted and had a hole in it and the whine was the air rushing thru the hole in the air box so they replaced that. The whine continued and I returned and was told that a pulley had warped the whine was from the serpentine belt so the pulley and belt have been replaced.

I still have the whine anytime I am pressing on the accelerator, as soon as I let up to coast, etc the whine go away. It's loud enough that any passenger in the truck can hear it.

Any suggestions ?

When the vehicle is at idle and sitting still in neutral, is the whine there?

If not, then that means that a bearing in one of your pulley's is not bad, but if it does still whine it could be a pulley bearing.

Did you check the alternator to ensure the sound is not coming from that?

Also, check your power steering pump. Honestly there are so many things that could be causing the noise unless you put some time in it you won't find it. Do some extensive inspection and let us know.

If its under warranty, MAKE the dealer fix it.

It sounds like you may have an air leak somewhere between your turbo and intercooler or intercooler and engine intake manifold since you say it makes the most noise during acceleration...Or when the truck it making the most boost pressure. Check all clamps on the big air lines. You may find your problem there.
