Hey guys I bought a 2011 cummins back in April and have slowly been making it the way i want it. It is a work truck that I frequently pull trailers with and will be plowing and sanding with this winter. I put a smarty jr. And a banks intake in it and really liked the gains in power and fuel economy. The only thing i have a question about is on the 100hp setting it seems to make a noise that I can only describe as a cough from a wastegate. I'm not a in depth diesel mechanic I can just do the basics so I was wondering if anyone had some light to shine on that for me?
Also after reading up more on these boards and forums I really want to get a raceME tuner and do a DPF/EGR delete. 1 for the economy 2 to get rid of the Edit and 3 they sound great. Any advice on doing all that as well would be appreciated greatly. I'm not looking for a 10 second truck just one a little more than stock that performs well for towing and plowing snow.

And now it seems to be a problem in all three setting on the programmer. Nothing like this happened when I first installed it. Not sure what's up. Could it be soot build up causing a false boost reading?

 

Mine makes a similar noise with my H&S MiniMaxx on the tow tune, and I can't figure out what it is. I have gotten a couple of the P2262 errors and figure it might need the "turbo cleaning" that's laid out in a TSB that I don't remember off the top of my head.

I did make a post about it, but unfortunately no one responded.
