Advice on fuel economy.

I am looking to spec out a 2012 Ram 2500 diesel.
I was wondering in anyone had good comparitive figures for the manual verses the automatic transmission fuel economy? I'm looking to purchase a mega-cab4-wd. I would go with a 3.42 rear for starters. There is not yet a manual transmission for this truck but I was told one would come out. My other option is wait for the 8-speed auto which is due out mid year 2012. The thing I would most look for is low rpms at highway speeds.

Thanks for the info. I'm not going to wait until 2014.
The one you have ordered sounds awesome! I may go ahead
and get the auto transmission also.
