Front Track Width

Hey I was just curious how much wider the front axle on the 45/5500s is than a 3500 dully. Could I turn sharper with one of these under a mega cab (custom air ride 4 link)

Not sure how much wider it is, I'm guessing a total of maybe 6" or so. I do know I can turn sharper in my 4 door 11.5' bed 4500 than my wife's mega cab.

My 5500 will turn sharper than the 05 3500 quad that is 5' shorter.

I think with the measurements I took to get wheels, the front is 8" wider than a 1 ton. And yes, they turn much shorter. That is the purpose of the wider axle. Let me know what you pay for the axle. I have only seen one for sale on ebay at it was 2500 bucks.

If you're sticking with 8 lug, don't forget to figure out swapping the standard 10 lug hub to an 8 lug, not sure how easy you can find that. Maybe the hub mounts are the same, but I kinda don't think they are.
