Deciphering the VIN

Can anyone here decode this '07 3500 C&C for me? 3D6WH48A97G801825 , more specifically, trans and rear axle ratio. I am going to Ohio Thursday to look over and hopefully, pick up. From there, upfitter in WV for hitches and an all aluminum bed. If all goes well, back in So. Md. Friday night.

Found some of the info on this site http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/2007/intromo.pdf. Still looking for the rest. Anyone know what "with sales code WLA" means?

Any dodge dealer should be able to give you a printout of the build sheet for the VIN# they will have the information on recalls associated with the truck as well..

Yea, the local dealer was less than thrilled about pulling the build sheet. They have 4 or 5 2010 laramie 3500 pu's that they're sure I needed more than an old used up 07 from somewhere else

i had a '05 ram3500 quad cab, 4x4, ctd whose vin # was for a durango. it took awhile to convince chrysler in detroit that the dully i was driving was not a durango. the problem started when i took it in to the dealer for service.

That flame red 3500 SLT was in service April 21, 2007. It has a 4.1 rear, 6.7L with the 6spd auto.

All of the warranty is gone except for the engine, perforation, emissions, and the 6X9 speakers. All of those have 2 years left.

There are two open recalls on it.
H34 - Dash Shield (Jan 20, '09)
H46 - Steering Linkage (April 27, '09)

It looks like it was registered as a business, but with a guys name. Sorry, I better not post those details about the seller and owners.

The options on the truck are pretty normal and boring. Need more?

Or anyone else need stock checked? Heh.

Good news, one of the speakers is crackling. Not now, thanks for your help. I liked it well enough to buy it. We became pretty intimate on our drive from Ohio to WV to Md. (700 miles) Got home Friday night and hooked it to our 3 horse LQ trailer for the weekend. I was very pleased with that trial too.
