Question Yard Arrival!!

At the union pacific tracking page, it says the train has reached it's destination where the truck will get off the train and get on a truck. Anyway, does anyone have an idea of how long this should take? The itinerary says 9 days! 9 days?? Can it really take this long or are they just trying to make sure they don't estimate a delivery date that's too soon. By the way, the final destination happens to be Benicia CA and my dealer is in the Reno NV area. It's about a 4 hour drive by car.

Thanks to those whe respond but not to those who don't ! Just kidding.

Congratulations on the new truck, I know how you feel trying to wait! Worst part for me was spending all that time thinking about the parts being made in Canada, assembled in Mexico, then shipped here to Detroit, costing me $700... Just all seems very wrong!!!
LOVE THE TRUCK THOUGH!!!

Mine took one week to travel the final 125 miles by truck from the rail yard to the dealer. This is the most difficult part of following your new family member's progress along it's journey. Unfortunately there is no way to track it on the final leg by truck. Hang in there, it will make it soon enough. Welcome to the greatest site. Enjoy!

It took approximately 5 days for my truck to get to the dealer after the train arrived in the yard.

Boy ain't that the truth. You can see the trains going by my dealer in Columbus on the way to the final destination in Toledo. They then had to bring it back down to Columbus to the dealer..

Encouraging!

Thanks for the replies! Now I have a little hope the truck might be here before they say it will!

9 days is about right.

A day or two or three to get it off the train, a few days waiting for a load and then however long to the dealer (day or so depending on the number of stops and distance).

If I remember right, mine was 8 days from yard arrival to dealer.
