Wood Bed Rail/Sides
Anyone ever done something like this? I did a search, and one other guys talked about, but never followed up. I made these out of cardboard and scrap wood. Any Pros/Cons you guys can think of. I think it would increase my ability to carry a bunch of junk when I move. Let me know...i hope these pics load correctly. Thanks Guys.

In the past, that was a common way to expand capacity of the bed, or haul livestock, etc.
I made some for my '52 Chev. P/U to haul sheep and calves years ago.
The pockets in the sides of the bed are called "stake pockets" because they were originally intended to be used just as you plan.

There's a local guy here who made a really nice set of those out of oak. He sold his truck and puts them back up on CL every few weeks. He did a really nice job on them. I'd do it if I was hauling a lot...
