Wonky wipers

Occationally in the past the wipers wouldnt shut off. If I clicked it to high then off, that seemed to work. Not anymore. Pulled the switch and cleaned it from the sticky on the forum. Looks like its been off before too. No dice.

Is it just time for a new switch or could the problem lie elsewhere?

my "wonky" wipers solved

For anyone that lives in the northern states with possibility of heavy snow the wiper park circuit can get damaged by electrical arcing trying to move that heavy snow. This will make your wipers do some really strange things like not shutting off or running when ignition is off. This is from the contacts being burned and covered with non conductive soot, (too much amperage for sizes of contacts) .I have had mine run a couple swipes when I was just walking up to truck or when closing or opening door. My fix was really easy by just cleaning the contacts inside the wiper motor and there are several threads that describe how to access this circuit.
