Has anybody used Wix brand filters? The fuel filters are 10.58 & oil is only $5.12. Are comparable to Fleetguard?

 

I use Wix filters in everything I've got, except for one tractor's hydraulic filter, for which Wix doesn't have a matching product. They are top of the line filters.

Most Napa filters are made by Wix. They even have the same part numbers, except that Wix adds prefix digits that are missing from the Napa branded filters.

 

Wix is a good filter. But for fuel filters I highly recommend the Baldwin PF7977 5 micron fuel filter.

I don't trust Baldwin. Once, while researching a hydraulic filter, I found a Baldwin model that crossed, but no Wix or Purolator. That made me a little suspicious, so I checked the Baldwin specs for their recommended filter, and they didn't meet the original filter specs.

I haven't purchased a Baldwin filter since.
