Anyone know what the 2 wire connector under the hood between the battery and the clutch reservoir is for?<br>Could that be a hookup for the hood light?<br>Jon

 

According to the Service Manual, the underhood lamp has one solid pink 18ga. wire for power (+) and one light blue/black stripe wire for ground except with ABS and then the ground is black/brown stripe. What colors are the wires you have found?

 

Thanks for the info I think it may be the light wires, now I will check the current to them.<br>Does it say if the switch is in the light or if the power to the wires is hot all the time?<br>Mine are the light-blue and a pink but I do have ABS. I thought all the HD's have ABS.<br>Thanks<br>Jon

 

One more??? Is there a part number for the light kit yet?<br>I have not found one going through the dealer.<br>Will one from the older trucks fit say 95-02 ??<br>Jon

 

<br>It doesn't &quot;say&quot; anything, it is just a wiring schematic. I would assume that the light fixture would have a mercury switch in it, but since no light fixture is available from DC, who knows! Perhaps one of the earlier year lights will plug in. Or, if you could get the other half of the plug, I would bet that a JC Whitney aftermarket light could be wired in, if you are desperate.
