Re:window tint color

This is what I had installed on my truck. I don't know the color of the factory tint, but the Charcool color of the Madico tint looks really sharp on it and appears to be an identical match. I went with the 35% on the front (darkest allowed in Texas) and I believe the 20% on the back. The guy at the window tint place told me the factory tint was also a 20%....so with the 20% over the 20% it's pretty dark...but not so dark you can't see out your windows (although you can't really see in without REALLY trying).

I'll see if I can't manage to take a picture for you....

Re:window tint

Has anyone had problems with the interior window strips on the bottom of the glass scratching the film up. I keep having problems and have used three different films. llumar,3M,Maddico. Also do some of your trucks have the felt linning on the window strip? Mine doesn't have any felt, just rubber. Maybe another DC money saver for them > but not me. Any help you guys may be able to offer for my problem is greatly appreciated.

Re:window tint color

I haven't noticed if I have felt or not....but I have noticed it SOUNDS like the windows are scratching a lot when you roll them up and down. I can't tell if it's outside or inside, but you can definitely here it. I haven't noticed any scratches on my tint...or at least not yet. I've only had the tint for about 2 weeks now.

I believe if it starts scratching I'll take it in to Dodge and complain to them before I go pay to have another tint job done.

I'm also starting to notice a little scracthing on the window. Didn't notice whether or not I had felt. Did notice a small pebble lodged in the lower rear corner of the driver side door. When I put down the window it sounded like nails on a chalk board.Asked myself how in hell did you get in there . Luckily it was so far in, you can't see the gouge marks.
