Will this bumper fit on an 06?

I really like the look of the solid color bumper from the 07 and wondered if I found one could I swap it out with my stock chrome one?

From what I've seen on the silver ones the front center is chrome but the sides are painted the same color as the truck. I like that too.

PS I just took this photo from the members gallery so thank you to whose ever truck it is. It's really, really nice!!

That's the Laramie bumper. The '06 and '07 should be interchangeable.

That's what a few of my buddies have said. Leave it alone.

I just like the matching bumper. Just like my 03 SLT QC Sport 1500.

PT do you think any additional hardware will be needed?

I am not sure about the SLT bumper, but the "chrome" piece in the middle of my Laramie bumper is actually a chromed plastic cover. I don't think it would be hard to paint, just rough it up (light sandblasting) and a coat of a paint designed for plastic.

Even a real chrome bumper could be sandblasted and painted to match.

Might be easier than trying to do a swap.

The SLT bumper is chrome all the way around. The Laramie bumper is painted on both sides with a plastic piece in the middle. Like Robert is explaining.

I am wondering if I can switch out my stock all chrome SLT bumper for the Laramie one pictured above?

Thanks.

53. Can you tell me where you got your replacement bumper? Also if you could let me know how easy hard it was I would really appreciate it. Some pics before and after would be good too.

Thanks,
Ryan

Did you purchase it from a dealer or find someone that did a swap?
