Wife bought me a gift!

My wife just bought me a new head unit from Crutchfield. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-XZceVrD...57KDHDR1&g=300 I have a 03 with the Infinity system, but not the 6 disk CD changer. I’m wondering if I can mount this unit in the dash. I’m fairly good with a wrench, but have never done anything to the interior of any vehicle. Is it difficult to get the plastic off without breaking any tabs? Will I need any special tools?

I also understand that Crutchfield provides instructions for wiring this thing up, but I’m just wondering if all 7 of my speakers will be powered by this unit. What do you think?

passenger side where your bag holder is is a phillips screw. remove it, the gently pull on the bag hook. the dash will start to come off gently. the whole section from the back hook to the instrument cluster edge, from above the radio including the a/c control area. the radio oval face plate is held in with 4 phillips screws. crutchfield will supply a harness for connecting the aftermarket deck without cutting/splicing. as far as all 7 speakers, no.

Is there any adapter or way I can get all the speakers firing?

I would imagine all the speakers would work. Just match up all the wires from the head unit to the other harness and plug it in. I believe the 7 speaker system has external amps it should send a sound signal to them from that JVC unit.
