...........because the darn vents on the passenger side dont blow as cold as the drivers sideAnyone know the reason. I know my blend door is working, anyone? Thanks in advance. Dave

I have just the opposite problem. My passengers complain about it being "too" cold all the time. Now that my daughter has her license, on our last road trip together before school started I, grudgingly, gave up the "helm" and sat in that other seat. Wow, it WAS cold even with the dual climate control. I had to set the slider just into the red to keep my feet from freezing. Also found out why everyone sleeps over there - it's BORING!!

Mine does the same thing, there was an obscenely long thread on here a while back about this ongoing problem.(Try a search.) My b.i.l. works for Dodge and does A/C work, he rode with me and noticed how bad mine was. He said I was low on freon and to add freon untill it cools again. Having A/C experience myself I thought he was crazy, that may cause it to be overcharged. He told me the recommended amount of freon was way to low for this system to cool properly. He was right, I added freon untill it would not take any more and now my low side runs about 35-40 and all vents are cold again. (I don't know what the high side readings are, not real sure I want to!!).

I had the exact problem. I charged the AC and problem solved. It happens when the AC is low on freon.

There is also a long list of posts that describe this solution. If you do a search you will find it.

As long you know everything mechanically is working( blend door ect...), low freon is the culprit. Drivers side will still get more air but charging the a/c will cure most of the passenger airflow/temperature issue. Most guys will look at there gauges and blame something in the system other than the charge but adding a shot more cured 90% of the problem in my 03 and a few other 03/04s. Just dont over charge it to much. Or the passenger ( wife) will be .

No rookie driver here. She's been behind the wheel since she was knee high to a grasshopper!! Started her out on my lap, steering and learning how to keep it between the lines. Moved up to parking lot maneuvers and parking. When she got her learner's permit we hit the road. She also has put in alot of tractor time mowing the lawn. The crown jewel came when she took the truck in my signature to her driver's license test. Passed the first time around and impressed the instructor as she had to parallel park in a spot setup for cars which most kids failed trying to put the family mini-sedan into.
I trust her more than some others I've had to ride with.

Well alright, thank you for the reply/help. I will charge it up in a little while, games on right now, and see if it work. Just to check, I dont have the pimp daddy gauge set just the little on on the can of freon that came with it, are these accurate?

Question Female logic.

I've got a reg cab and my wife is constantly freezing in our truck. I have her close her vents and direct everything to me. I got in our Pilot the other day and the wife had the heat dial at 50% plus the air on,plus the fan turned way up. Jeez!

Why do passengers complain so much... Because it's usually a woman.
