Wheel advice before I screw something up.

I have 2007 2WD 2500 Mega Cab with stock wheels and tires. I got 74,000 miles on the stock Michelin tires so it's time for a change. I want 20x10 wheels (wouldn't mind 20x9 if I have to) Diamo 17K wheels with Cooper LTZ Zeon 305/50/20. I already have a 2" leveling kit with Bilstein 5100 shocks waiting to go on (so that takes care of the leveling issue). Now, I want the tires to stick out just a little, maybe an 1"-1.5". Is this possible with correct backspacing or is this tire too wide? I keep hearing 5.5" inch backspacing is a good starting point. Do I need 6" backspacing possibly to get the desired look? Thanks in advance, any advice and/or constructive criticism is welcome.

The less the backspacing, the more the tires is going to stick out, stock BS is around 6", it might be close to rubbing when you turn with the 4.5 BS and the 20x10s

I'm someone will correct me if I'm wrong but having tires stick out from the fenders can get you a big ticket. I'm not sure why you would want the tires to stick out.

You'll also throw crap all over the side of the truck. That's hard on the paint. The larger scrub radius from wheels with less backspacing is also harder on your steering box and wheel bearings. I'm ready to toss the moto metal wheels that came on my truck for all these reasons. I'm tired of the aggravation. But, to each his own.
