biggest that I would personally go is 295-305/70-17, but I use mine on the farm some. the more you go off pavement, the worse your rubbing problem will be. If you are going for looks and won't go off of the beaten path all that much, the 315's do look good, almost a perfect fit for the wheel well.

Hey fella's, How big is a 315 tire in inches??, 32", 33" 35" etc?? I should be getting my New truck in a few weeks, and Im looking to trade the stock wheels and tires for a different set. Im looking towards a 33" tire, and prob an 18" wheel. I was told a 295 tire is the same as a 33'" tire. Just want to know if thats correct. Also, do you think its worth to re-program the speedo' for a 33" tire?? Thanks

I'm running 305/70 R17 Goodyear MTR's (34x12.5 equivalent) and have no rub. I also do plenty of off-road driving. I am very happy with the tire but they are a little bit expensive.

315's are like a 35" tire on the stock rim.
i run mine with a 2" spacer up front no rubbing.
will need to get the front end re alined after the spacers if that the way you want to go. cheap to do and looks better IMHO.
depends on your gearing too, i have the auto, with 4:10's and it brought my rmp's down to normal cruising speeds.

Thanks "pullin hard". Im still debating if I want to put a bigger tire on the stock rims, or go with an 18" rim, to give it a better look. I dont know if I want to go any bigger than that, and also I dont know if I want to go with a leveling kit, I've seen that bigger wheels, (around 20" or bigger" and the leveling kits contribute alot to the whole "death wobble" situation. I figured Id stay with around a 33" tire, and an 18" rim, that way I wouldnt have to put a leveling kit on it, and not worry about any type of wobble problems.

Being that I'll have a 3.73 rear, do you's reccomend to re-calculate the speedo?? How much will it be off, and also, when I pick up my truck, should I do the reflash for the Fuel, to maybe help with the bigger tires??

I saw someone put 30x15's om his 3500 the other day at Discount Tires. He could only turn the whell about 1/4 before hitting the back of the wheelwell. The guys at Discount handed him a grinder and said your on you own. After cutting a majority of the bottom of the tub out could he turn properly. He spent $2400 so he could grind his truck up.

I have seen 305's from a Hummer on a Dodge and they looked good with no mod needed.

The Hummer tires are 315's, check my pics. I got them for 100 bucks a piece. No lift, no rub.

Also 315s on H2 (Hummer 2) wheels. No rub what so ever. They do throw some spray and junk on the body so I just installed a set of Warn flares. I had the flares coated with bedliner to match the rockers. Looks great, noe just need to decide where to put the Cummins "C" badges.

You mean Blown32's 32 Chevrolet, I've seen that rig in person and it is bad a$$. As far as tires, I'm going with 295 Nitto Terra Grapplers, roughly a 33" tall tire, not quite as cool as 315's but still pretty cool.

The stock size on mine is 265/70R17. Can I go with 305/75R17's? The 75 means a taller tire, right? The first number is the width?
