I like the looks of the guys who pull up next to ya at a stop light, look at the badgeless fender, and roll down the window to listen to the engine. They are also trying to figure out why.

If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand.

I agree

It's the "Stealth" look...
1500, 2500...3500?
Is it a 20,000 dollar truck.... or 40,000?
Just a little differen't than everyone else....
Nothing wrong with that...... and the price is right.

I got the idea from reading some threads on here too. I think it makes a BOLD statement by being subtle. You look at it and you know something is different without knowing exactly what it is....at first. Some trucks look more stealthlike with it imho.

My truck looks exactly like this one, 'cept it is white. I think I would have stripped all the badging if our trucks had a different body style like Ford Superdutys do. With a 2wd like mine it looks a bit like a 1/2 ton debadged.

Only for appearance, I'd say. I like the look myself (de-badged), since I like the "sport" style vehicles, color matched bumpers, grille, etc.
On my last truck the tailgate got de-badged because I repainted it and DC wanted almost $100 for a DODGE and a 4X4 OFF ROAD sticker. Aside from not paying that much for 2 little stickers, I thought it showed off the good paint job I did (lloked better than factory, not too hard to do).

If it's that popular to debadge...

Maybe DC should make badges an option and save a few $$$.

Personally, I like mine. That big "C" on the fender is why I bought my truck and I'm proud of it!

Some do it to be Posers,
You see it alot in CA on audi's, beamers and benz's, many folks do it to cover up that they dont have the highend model. Most of the time the wheels give them away.

I had an Audi a few years ago that I debadged as well. I think a lot of people just like the cleaner look. A poser would be someone that put BMW CSL or M3 trunk lids, emblems and wheels on a basic BMW 323 or 325. IMO

I do things because I like or dislike want or don't want something. My decision has little or nothing to do with anyone elses opinion in the case of aesthetics. Why did you buy the color you bought? Because YOU chose it not us. Some like a simpler uncluttered life. They know what their truck is so why advertise it with some crass plastic parts taped on? Seems like it makes more sense to debadge than not now that I think about it!!
Cheers all
Mike

I just used WD40 and a whole bunch of elbow grease.

Afterward, I washed that area really good and put on a couple of new coats of wax.

I took the badges off because I like stealth look and don't want to be a rolling ad for a mega company. Secondly, washing and waxing cleaner and lastly powerstrokes and dmaxes, look at my truck with a tilted puppy dog head?
