The rears are smaller in a Mega Cab. I used 5.25's with an adapter bracket.

From what I have read and heard round speakers sound better. I made a bracket to hold 5.25 speakers in my front door.

I went to crutchfield and they stated that the factory installed ones for the front doors are 6 x 9. I'm going to have to do something because they sound like hades. I'll worry about the rear ones later.

Yeah, fronts are 6x9 and you can use a 6.5" with an adapter from Crutchfield.

I plan on going with 6.5 & tweets up front, 5.25 & tweets in rear doors and 4 8in kicker subs behind the back seats. also going ot intstall a power inverter under the back seat to run my laptop and printer.

How could DC make the "Mega Cab" rear speakers smaller than the QC? That's not very mega at all.

Soccer Dads driving Man Vans don't need to be worrying about "bigger" rear door speakers. The kids in the back will have their "Barney and friends" DVDs playing anyway. <jk>..........

go to www.crutchfield.com they know everything about the speakers in the RAM.

I have Alpine Type-R 6x9 in my front door. I also bought there wiring adapters so i didnt have to cut the stock speaker wiring.

Does changing the speakers really help that much? When I changed the speakers and left the stock head unit in my F150 I didn't notice that much difference. Is it different with these trucks?
