What kind of paint?

Hey guys. Im looking to get some info on dodges paint process. Im building a bike and i want to paint parts of it the color of my truck.

i know the paint code for Graphite Metallic is PDR but im wondering if i buy this paint, does it have the clear built in? Like a one step process (after filler, sanding ect)

If not, what else do i need to get to finish the job?

Thanks for your help.

josh

Not sure if you can get metallic in single stage, but if you cant you have to seal the parts, base coat, then 2 coats of clear.

you can have it mixed in a single stage formula but i would recomend a base clear setup also will you be two toning the bike or the parts going the color of the truck all going the color of the truck if you are two toning its alot easier base clear.

Auto paint supply store will give you the options as well. Might want to stop and talk to a good auto body shop in your area. They can also direct you a paint supplier.

Good deal guys. Im doing two tone but the frame is silver and the rest will be graphite metllic. Sounds like two stage is the way to go. Should i use an enamel clear or would a urathane be better?
