Question What deal did you get recently on a new truck?

I am in the market for a new truck and would like to know what kind of great deal you got from the dealer in these tough economic times?

Please list the following:

1. Model, year (08-09), equipment, drive, etc...
2. MSRP
3. What you actually paid
4. Where you got the deal..

Thank you.....

1. 2008, 3500 (srw, lwb) 6.7 Auto, Slt, 4x4, Lone Star pkg w capt seats
2. $48,020
3. $32,480
4. Brown Dodge, Devine Tx.

A couple of Dodge houses were open untill midnight in San Antonio advertising
$17,500 off MSRP on any remaining 08 ram truck.

I could have saved a little more on a different truck but I spec'd the truck I wanted and asked the dealer to find it for me. They then traded another dealership for that one. It ended up being less than I bought my 03 2500 for in 2003. The deals are out there but getting the optioned truck you want are starting to disappear.

The deals are out there, its just most of the people on this site are holding onto what they have. They don't want to get rid of their reliable truck for a truck that isn't proven, and that will get a min. of 3-5 mpg less.

In it I said this:

That was for an 08 SLT Mega Cab 3500 Dually in the middle of December and it was at a dealer in Oxford, PA

I paid a lot LESS than I bought my old 08 2500 SLT short bed quad cab for in Dec of 07.

I read the old post, the problem is that I have not been able to find any deals like that here in NJ. I was Considering a Ford for a crew cab with a long bed. But their "deals" were worthless, employee pricing my @$$. I was hoping to here about some recent deals. If I can buy a dodge at a great enough deal, I will then take the left over cash and have the long bed conversion done. Then I will have a Cummins powered Long Bed Mega Cab. Nice....

Any Body want to trade a 5.9 Mega cab 4x4 for my 5.9 quad Cab 4x4?

Mine was $50,001 after dealer add-ons. 2500 SLT Big Horn, 4x4, SRW, 6.7, LWB, Patriot Blue, Navigation group. got it down to 34,something. before taxes. Took all day though and felt like a hassel. But also got 5.9%.

I think $15,500.00 off of msrp is a pretty good deal! Bought my 06 mega 4x4 in Jan 06, msrp 46k, got it for 38k. That was pretty good considering the time. Could of gotten a better deal on an 05 but wanted the mega cab. If I needed a new truck now I would be happy with 15k+ off.

That is a good deal. What surprises me is the lack of responses. I though since Dodge was on the verge of collapse, they would be giving the trucks away and people would be snapping them up. The lack of post's tells me that either people are holding on to their money or the deals are not that good.

I agree with you, I look for a new one for 4 months in Canada and there was only 4 trucks spec'd the way i wanted up here, they finally got down to 53,580 including taxes and **** (about US$ 46,500 ) the trucks had an MSRP of CAN$ 68-70,000. i finally got tired of lookin and bought a 2006 with 50,000 miles at CAN$ 33000 ( US$26,500 ) im happy with it at half price at 2 years old

I was offered a new 2500 QC ST 4X4 6.7 for 29999 at Rairdons Dodge of Smokey Point WA. I turned it down. I was offered basically the same deal at Larson Dodge of Tacoma. I wanted to stick with the 5.9. Just bought an 03 with 84K on it for 14K.

Thank you.....
1. 2008 2500 QCSB TRX4 4X4 - 6.7 W/6 Speed Auto, Power everything except rear window
2. Just under 47,000
3. I paid 34,200 before tax/lic/doc fees
4. Yucca Valley Dodge Chrysler Jeep, Yucca Valley, CA " Give us a chance! "

They also gave me above KBB Trade in, almost private party value, for my truck and took off the mods I wanted to keep. (Tool box, train horns, air intake, etc) for free.

I was only there 20 minutes before this deal was reached. It was their first offer and I took it. I didnt think that over 10K off sticker was a bad deal at all and I have GAP insurance as well (They split the cost with me) and that wonderful new car warranty.
