Weird Problem With '06 A/C

I have a prob with my '06 QC, and this is the 1st problem I've ever had with it. The a/c isn't really blowing hard from the vents. It also doesn't switch from fresh air to recirc, it sounds like it's stuck in between fresh and recirc as it's making alot of noise now and not alot from the vents. Anyone know what's up before I venture to the dealer? All the other controls work.

there is a tech tip thourgh DC for the recirc. door braking and drops on to the fan inlet blocking all flow to the blower motor, take it to the dealership, they SHOULD know whats going on and the revised housing piece

Wow, am I relieved, sorda. Dealer guy knew EXACTLLY what it was, said they already did a ton of them, they replace it with an improved part and told me that it'll never happen again. He also said they have to remove the dash to get to it (and showed me pictures), which is a 2 day job, but he told me that the guy that does them is real good, he should have it ready or me tomorrow. And, it turns out that the service manager there is the same guy that I used to deal with years ago when I had my Dakota, he moved to my local dealer now which is gonna be a major help for me!

Just make sure to change your settings on a low fan speed. They break cause with the fan on fulll blast and changing direction of the air slams the door and it breaks. They "say" it will never happen again but to be extra sure I change the air on low only, my .02. You will feel a world of differece man.

I was told that they just need your truck for a day but it is really only a 4 hour job.

All you have to do is remove the blower motor from under the glovebox and you will see the broken blender door just laying around, yank it out and you will have more air comming out in no time the only thing is, that you cannot choose from recirculation and outside. I did the removal just to save some time from having to go to the dealer and now the ac blows like a champ!!!!

Had the same problem with mine last summer. They replaced it with the updated recirc door assy.

Now I think the blend door for the passenger side is starting to fail: I have a 10-20F difference between driver and passenger side. BTW...Laramie has dual control.

First sign of a low charge when there is a drastic temp difference between the vents. FYI all DR (3rd gen) body Dodges have a temp difference between the two drivers vents and the passenger side.

I just had my power steering pump replaced, it started making noise then it would give out when hot.
