Weird electrical issues....trailer wiring, fuel guage, brakes, abs now?

So I was working on my 03 Dodge today to try and get our trailer wiring up. First, all we could get was the left turn signal working on the trailer wiring. Nothing else worked with a test light, except the blue wire for the electric brake....when it was probed, the lights on the Tekonsha would come on.

Then, we looked in the power control module (in front of the driver battery), and pulled out a broken green 40 fuse (rectangular fuse, long?). We replaced that with another green 40, and we had a live wire at the trailer 7 way harness. Then we tried the right turn signal, but the flasher blinked twice as fast, and we figured that must have been because of the 40 we pulled. We replaced it, and still no right rear turn signal. Pulled the bulbs, and they all work when switched with reverse or brake. Tried a couple of other 40's, and still no luck.

On top of that, now we have no fuel guage, the overhead console won't show the DTE (distance to empty), the brake light is on and the ABS light is on.

What is going on with my truck? We are leaving on the 30th to go across the country, so it'd be nice to get this fixed up.

Check all body and frame grounds, even make new ones...Check all low-voltage connections for good contact or corrosion...Those are the most common causes of intermittent electrical problems......Ben
