Water inside the cab!

It's been raining for the past day and a half and my truck has just been sitting out in it the whole time. Got in it today and noticed that there is standing water on my rubber floor mat on the passenger side and that the carpet underneath is soaked. Looks like it is coming from what I think is the big plastic heater core inside near the firewall. Has anyone had this happen to them or know about it and a possible solution.....and no I cant park it in my carage

Dont feel bad, I have a mystery leak on my 06. water just magically appears in the passenger side storage compartment under the back seat. Dont know where it comes from, and cant find any leaks anywhere. It will stay dry for a month or so, and then all of a sudden have about a half inch of water in it overnight.

Mine leaked pretty bad around the back sliding rear window. I had the entire back glass sealed, has not leaked since.

I was going to ask the same thing. I really wish I didn't have those things, can't believe people actually drill holes in the top of their brand new trucks to install them...

My friends leaked, he noticed water dripping from the scews that attach the flip down sun shade things...

No I dont have the cab lights. The leak seems to be down low. I can see drops of water coming from the the black plastic deal(maybe the heater core) under the glove box. Thanks for the comments and it stopped raining finally so I can actually workon the truck w/o getting soaked myself!!

I have that same mystery leak. Was cleaning out the truck the other day and notice all of my stuff was soaked. 2 Bricks of 22 shells, a box of 45, 2 pair of socks and my AR15 had some surface rust on it. Cleaned it all up, and could not figure out were the moisture came from. that is crazy!

I had a dealer tell me he had seen leaks around the top brake light/cargo light that would allow water to get in.

Check the A/C drain. Under hood at the firewall. Some have a rubber tube on them that gets "melted" together at the opening end. Fills the a/c box full of water and then it runs out of the air vents for the floor output. Water can also get in the box thru the fresh air intake when it rains.

I had a lease truck at work last year, 06 2500, and it did the same.
Dealer told me there are problems on some with the seal that is between the AC/Heat unit and the cab.
They said it would have to be replaced and it was under warranty.
It wasn't fixed when I got it back...

This is possible, but the weird thing is that its ONLY on the rear passenger side. The foam liner on the back wall is dry, the drivers side is dry, and its dry around the top of the compartment. It only gets water in the bottom of it!
