Warranty?

Can you guys tell me which warranty comes with which of the 3rd Gen trucks? I have heard of a 3/36000 bumper-to-bumper, and a 70000 bumper-to-bumper. Are there certain years for certain warranties? Thanks.

3/36 bumper to bumper. 7/70 powertrain warranty which was reduced to 3/36 for 06. IIRC, the 7/70 was started ~ 5 years ago and the 3/36 before that. The Cummins has a 7/100 warranty, even for 06.

Dodge's owner survey's showed the 7/70 wasn't a big reason we were buying rams. Since the 7/70 was well down the list, DC decided to drop it.

You can buy longer warranties, but the ones I listed are the standard warranties. Of course, there are others, like corrosion and emissions. They're listed in your owners manual.

When I bought mine they sold me a bumper to bumper for another 3/36000 and my truck was at 46000. I guess I got shafted since I already had the existing warranty. Can I use my existing warranty to cover the TSB's if they apply to the powertrain like the mileage one?

If they sold you a bumper-to-bumper warranty for 36,000 miles I am assuming that that was from the date/mileage you bought the truck! Course, you still had the 7/70,000 anyway on the powertrain regardless of the warranty you purchased. There are lots of things that doesn't cover, that I would think you now have covered.
